Weekly Meal Planner

This free weekly meal planner lets you build a week of home cooking from my own tried and tested recipes. Tap a dish, then tap the day you want it on (on a bigger screen you can drag it straight across): breakfast, lunch and supper for every day, with a few simple staples so real life fits in.

Every dish links straight to the full recipe. Hit Fill the gaps to auto-complete the empty slots (seasonal dishes first), then build one combined shopping list for the whole week.

Now tap the day and meal you want it on - or tap the dish again to put it back.

How to Use the Meal Planner

  • Tap a dish in My Dishes, then tap the slot you want it on, or drag it across on a bigger screen.
  • Fill the gaps completes whatever you leave empty, favouring dishes in season right now.
  • Shopping list combines the ingredients from every planned recipe into one tick-off list you can print.
  • Your plan saves automatically in your browser, so it is still here when you come back.

FAQ for the Weekly Meal Planner

Where do the recipes come from?

Every linked dish is one of my own recipes, cooked and photographed in my kitchen. The planner simply helps you mix and match them into a week. The odd “simple staple” like jacket potatoes is there so your week stays realistic.

Can I plan a vegetarian or vegan week?

Yes. Pick Vegetarian or Vegan in the dropdown under My Dishes and the planner only shows recipes tagged that way, and Fill the gaps follows the same choice. The vegan pool is smaller, so expect more simple staples in the quieter slots.

How does the shopping list work?

The planner reads the recipe card of every dish you plan and merges the ingredients into one list. Matching ingredients are added together even when two recipes word or measure them differently, amounts are rounded to what you would actually buy, and each line shows which dishes use it. A dish you plan twice is counted twice. Set Feeding to how many you are cooking for and each recipe is scaled from its own serving size. If you pick Vegetarian or Vegan, the list makes the swap each recipe suggests. The simple staples carry ordinary per-person portions rather than tested recipe amounts, so they scale with Feeding too and count towards the totals; anything genuinely to taste is listed with no amount. Tick things off as you shop, or print it.

Will my plan still be here tomorrow?

Yes, it is saved in your browser on this device. It is not an account, so a different phone or laptop will not see the same plan.

If the planner earns a spot in your week, subscribe and I will send new recipes to your inbox as they are published - they join the planner automatically. You might also like my other kitchen tools.
